We will have five frame nucs available in April 2010. We use Minnesota Hygienic queens and VSH queens (Varroa Sensitive Hygiene). In our normal nuc we try to start with 2-3 frames of brood, one frame of honey and pollen, and one frame of foundation. The cardboard nuc box makes a good, durable, beginning home for your bees. It can be closed up and transported with ease. You will need to transfer everything into your permanent woodenware in time.

They will be state inspected, healthy bees. There has been high demand for good nucs over the last few years. Depending on the weather, our first nucs should be ready around April 8. We want to wait to be sure the new, introduced queen is laying, before you pick up.

We are charging $85.00 per nuc this year. In order to reserve your bees as early as possible, we are asking that you send in a $40.00 deposit per nuc.
